Natural attractions arecreated by nature. Many of these areas have been given a status to protect their environment and provide facilities so that the public are able to enjoy the sights. Examples are National Parks, Reserves, Waterfalls, Lakes, Dams, Beaches, Caves and Rock Formations. Some attractions are purposely built to entertain tourists. Examples include the London eye and theme parks such as Blackpool pleasure beach and Alton towers. It attracts domestic and inbound tourists as its one of the top 10 most popular attractions.
A heritage attraction is something that has been in place for many years and is now historical. People visit these attractions so that they can appreciate the past. Canals, Battlefields and Churches are examples. The Tower of London is an example of a heritage building in the UK, you can attend exhibitions there or go for a family or educational trip. The tower of London is in the private sector. It attracts lots of domestic tourism as well as inbound.
Events can range from big events such as the Olympics to small events like a street festival. Events play an important part in the tourism industry because certain events may be the only reason people visit that area. Events attract domestic and inbound tourists. These events bring a lot of money to an area and create more jobs. Events are in the private sector.
